Chainsaw Carvings are very individual creations. As well as sculptures in their own right, they can also represent something more personal, perhaps a special gift or a commemorative piece. I welcome requests and discussion on creating something especially for you.

Please note that it is NOT possible to give a ‘brochure of set prices’. All sculptures are costed individually according to their size, complexity and the wood required. As a very rough general rule of thumb allow around £75 for a simple small 12” or less carving, approximately £75 per foot for simple larger softwood carvings ( e.g. redwood, cedar, larch, pine, etc). Hardwood (e.g. oak, sweet chestnut, yew) will cost more due to the expense of material and the extra effort to work it. Also colourings, like wood stains, where needed, are costed extra compared to a natural finish. I’d be happy to discuss or advise on your requirements.

Carvings can be delivered at the buyer’s expense or collected.

Interior and Exterior Design: Made to Order.

Fireside Panels. These panels frame and enhance a fireplace. The individual yew slices give an irregular surface. They can be made to any square or rectangular shape up to 2 metres length, approx, to suit any interior design enhancement. Softwood frames stained to standard wood stain colours.

FEATURE WALL CHAINSAW ART

Upright sleepers were installed ready to create a curved feature wall. (See last picture).

A continuos curve was then cut to create a feature wall and a blank canvas for chainsaw art. The theme of ‘dandelions’ was chosen by the client and these were then designed at carved with a small chainsaw.

Finally the finished design is painted and sanded. The dandelions are high up to be visible over curved seating still to be installed.
